Tom and Dawn Dufault Owners
Tom and Dawn started their farm and flower company in 2017 after Dawn retired from a career as an executive leader for national nonprofit organizations. Prior to her career in the nonprofit industry, Dawn started a successful Web Development Consulting practice. Dawn's real passion however was her first career in horticulture. Starting in high school, Dawn worked for Jackson Nursery, Inc. for 15 years assisting with the management of approximately 100 acres of ornamental nursery stock in containers and field stock. She worked extensively in all areas of the nursery from propagation, greenhouses, and field growing to pest management, landscaping, and operating all types of heavy equipment and farm tractors.
After Jackson Nursery closed, Dawn went on to manage an experimental greenhouse, managed growing and plant maintenance, assisted with seed inventory and testing as well as website development and some marketing for Plantation Products, Inc.
Tom has been in the Air Force for over 34 years and is also the mechanical expert behind the farm. Tom has worked in the maintenance field since 1979 and has worked military and commercial aviation maintenance, heavy equipment, automotive, small engine, and also has extensive knowledge of building maintenance and construction from being a property manager for over 15 years. With all of these skills put together Tom is the go-to-guy for keeping the machine running!
Our name was inspired by the masses of native Bayberry that grow on our property.
